Our story

It all began on the dating app HER and a first date at Mario & John’s in Petaluma in January 2023. We pretty quickly realized that we were two fabulous people who had found someone equally committed to helping the other shine, dream big, and live their absolute best life.

Since then, we’ve built a life full of laughter, adventure, queer joy, and a whole lot of celebrating. We share our world with our three dogs—Kona, Bear, and Goose—and spend our time traveling, camping, boating, going to drag shows, cheering on the Valkyries and the WNBA, and clacking a fan like absolute rockstars. Give us a disco ball, turn on some Lady Gaga and we’re happy!

For those of you who don’t know, JT proposed at the iconic Castro Theatre with the help of Sam Smith! They stopped the show, announced that their friend JT had something important to say, and suddenly the spotlights were on us. JT surprised Sarah and asked her to marry them and she confidently said YES!

So it feels fitting that we’re getting married on March 13th, our favorite number, at the iconic, Petaluma’s Hall of the Above. We’re celebrating the only way that makes sense to us: surrounded by the people we cherish - dressed as ICONS.

This wedding is a celebration of queer joy, chosen family, big love, and living life out loud. We can’t wait to celebrate ours with you.
